End of Summer: Annual Church in the Park

Hot Rod, Papa & Peelu listening to the singing

Our church has an annual service in the park every August. This has always been one of my favorites. It's so casual (even our pastor is dressed in shorts). There's always great music (some of it played and sung by good friends). There's a big potluck after the service and the kids love to play at the park and goof around with each other.

It's a fun service but a bit hard keeping the kiddos in their seats.....especially Peelu.

Church Outdoors?

It's one of our first signs of the end of summer for our family. But we prayed and laughed and ate and talked and visited and blew bubbles in the glorious sunshine and that was wonderful.

Come on out bubbles!Free at last....Bubbles in the park

Then we hopped on our bikes and headed home to soak in the last few days of August.
