Weekend Wrap-Up: Last days before First Grade

Toes in the flowers

It's that curious time of the year where Summer and Fall are blending, mixing, clutching each other. My favorite time of the year. But so much more poignant for me now that the big maniacs are starting first grade.

We took it easy this weekend. Didn't plan anything for the Labor Day holiday. Ross was still pounding away on the roof. (And special thanks to our friends Steve and Will for helping). We tried to get the house in some order for the beginning of school and the routine that that implies. But we also wanted to be a bit lazy. We needed to be a bit lazy. And it felt good. (Except for poor Ross!)

A few minutes of crochet and coffee

Coffee and cocoa with the Biggies

Squeezing out as many laundry loads...
