Power Balls

E Family Power Balls

No, it's a recipe, Silly! For some really yummy, totally power-infusing snacks! Are you ready? Think you can handle it? Well then, here 'ya go. Our go-to snack on soccer days, crazy afternoons and when we need energy FAST.

The E Family Power Balls

1/2 C Whole Wheat Flour
1/4 C Wheat Germ
3/4 C Powdered Milk
1 1/2 C Rolled Oats
3/4 C Sunflower Seeds
3/4 C Chopped Nuts (I usually use walnuts or almonds)
1/2 C Chocolate Chips (or carob chips)
1/4 C Sesame Seeds
1/4 C Flax Seeds
1/2 C Raisins
1 C Peanut Butter
3/4 C Honey

Mix dry ingredients together first, then add honey and peanut butter. Mix until everything is sticking together (add a bit more peanut butter if it's still too dry). Roll into 1 inch balls and place on a wax paper lined cookie sheet. Place in freezer for an hour and then store them in the freezer in a gallon bag.

We store ours in the freezer and just take them out as we need them. They defrost in a few minutes. Otherwise, I would store them in the refrigerator.

This recipe lends itself to really whatever you have on hand. You could add and subtract many different things and they would still turn out great.
