A Big KISS for you!
I kept forgetting to post these giant KISSes after Valentine's Day. (We made them for G & G). But since we made more of them for Teacher Appreciation Week I thought I'd stick this little How-To in here.
They are SUPER EASY. If you can make rice krispie squares, then you can make these.
Big KISS Krispies
1 Box Cocoa Krispies Cereal 1 bag miniature marshamallows 1/4 C Butter or Margarine 1 Funnel Cooking Spray Foil
Melt the marshmallows and butter in a saucepan over med heat, stirring constantly. When completely melted, take the saucepan off the burner and slowly stir in the entire box of cocoa krispies. Stir together well, coating the cereal evenly.
Spray the kitchen funnel with cooking spray and pack in as much krispie mix as you can, flattening it hard against the base of the funnel. Then turn the funnel over and allow it to stand on a plate. If you pressed hard enough, the funnel shape should make your krispie mix look like a giant Hershey's kiss.
Allow the molded kisses to harden. You can also store them in the refrigerator covered with saran wrap. When ready to wrap, tear off a square of foil and place your krispie kiss in the center.
Wrap the foil around the krispie kiss, molding it so you can see the kiss shape of the package.
Cut out a large strip of paper with your sentiment written on it. Put it inside the top of the krispie kiss foil and tightly wrap the foil around the tip of the kiss and the paper.
Wife to a VERY understanding man (even if he does roll his eyes and duck back into his garage way too much); mother to three maniacs, crafter, professional volunteer, crazed maniac in her own right...yep, that about covers it for now.
It's about crafts, family, gardening, life....really whatever the heck I want to talk about. I am wordy, messy, opinionated, disorganized, lacking in focus, manic, craft obsessed...and pretty much this all spills out on the pages of this blog. You've been warned!
