Crafty inconsequential randomness in all its glory

Man, I have been sloooowwww at posting lately. Here are some cool photos taken probably a month ago now, of some little neighbors of ours....
Aren't they cute? They live under our dogs' big water tub. Hot Rod found and caught "Hoppy" (the green one) first and then went out and found "Rocky" (the brown one).
Hot Rod adopted Hoppy and Lil' Mermaid adopted Rocky and for about a week they kept them in a terrarium they had made, taking them out to let them swim and have "recreational time".
They attempted to catch bugs and feed them, but I wasn't sure if that was really working, so I told them we had to let them go.
The kids were not really happy about that. But since we decided that they really had nowhere to go, that they would probably be okay and we could visit them as often as we wanted. It intrigues us to ponder the idea of how they got here. We looked up some frog ID web sites and we think they might be Northern Pacific Tree Frogs. But as we're new to the herpetological community, we don't really know what the heck we're talking about.
But we've had a lot of fun with them. And the kids are definitely interested in learning more. Smiling, interested faces always make research more fun, doncha think?
Wife to a VERY understanding man (even if he does roll his eyes and duck back into his garage way too much); mother to three maniacs, crafter, professional volunteer, crazed maniac in her own right...yep, that about covers it for now.
It's about crafts, family, gardening, life....really whatever the heck I want to talk about. I am wordy, messy, opinionated, disorganized, lacking in focus, manic, craft obsessed...and pretty much this all spills out on the pages of this blog. You've been warned!
