A coop with a view

More sunflower weaving

The sunflowers are just about done for the year, as the maniacs head back to school. We ate dinner out on the back porch and then did some gardening while the maniacs played on the grass. Between the bees and his chickens, Ross was very happy with the sunflower harvest this year. So he thought he'd use the last sunflower heads to spruce up "the girls' place".

That's a lot of sunflowers weaved in there

Phew! That's a lot of sunflowers he weaved in there. Hope the chicks appreciated the view. After he finished I grabbed Ross to take some photos for the kids' first-day-of-school lunchbox. I don't know where this tradition started. We take goofy pics to slip in their lunch boxes for their birthdays and Valentine's Day. Maybe we just like taking photos of ourselves? :-)

Sorry, it's not the peace sign #2

Sorry, it's not the peace sign #1

That's the #2 sign we're making, not the peace sign. # 2 for second grade, get it?

Then again, I suppose we could all use a little more peace in our lives.
